Enjoying a Newari Feast in Kathmandu

Today I met up with a good friend of mine Thomas Kelly who has been living in Nepal for the last 33-years. Thomas is an excellent photographer and has shot for the National Geographic, New York Times, Time, etc. See some of Thomas Kelly’s excellent photography here.
Later in that evening Thomas invited me to a feast that a close friend of his was hosting. It’s the biggest festival time here in Nepal. This very sweet and generous Newari family was holding a traditional Newari feast with an array of exotic dishes eaten off a plate stitched together of leaves.
