A new year always inspires people to make new plans and goals. It’s a way and an opportunity to leave the old behind and create hope for a brighter future. The truth is that you can’t really leave the old behind. It’s just not so easy to get rid off. The old or the past needs to be lovingly dealt with.

The best way to approach a new year is not only to make plans but to lovingly wrap up the previous year. Many just want to forget about the year that has passed and plan for the new year. New things bring hope and excitement that change is possible and sustainable. But it is not unless you deal with the old patterns and create a systematic plan to incorporate new patterns in your existing life style.

The best way to approach the new year is to first focus on the year that has passed. What are the unresolved issues of the year? Work to resolve them. Don’t carry the burdens of the previous year on to the next. Memory patterns are extremely magnetic and will recreate similar experiences for you if not resolved. The more we free our subconscious from these unresolved issues from 2012 the more it clears up our subconscious. The clearer our subconscious is the more we are able to tap into our superconscious. And when we function more in the superconscious we become naturally more intuitive. Our intuition then helps us to see very clearly what the next best step is for us in every aspect of our life, be it business, personal, family or community. I always use the last few weeks of the year to focus on not what I want to do the following year rather on wrapping up the previous year so I am not carrying any baggage into the future.

It is also a good time to focus on the highlights of 2012. These highlights were also your creation. The great thing about having created something once is that you can create it again. The pattern in is now in your subconscious and all you have to do is repeat the process. So identify the positive events of 2012, reflect on the patterns that created them, refine them and recreate this for for 2013.

The future is only a creation of our present and past actions, speech and thoughts. Will is built over time. A firm resolve is needed. Make small changes. Focus on the small things. The small things is what makes the big things happen.
