AirAsia

Asia is one of my favorite places on this beautiful planet to travel. It is saturated with color and culture, and full of exotic foods, welcoming people and unending opportunities for photography. If you’d like to see Asia with a conservative budget, then Air Asia is your go to airline. They are based out of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and operate out of an airline terminal called LCCT (low cost carrier terminal) which is located next to KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport).

Air Asia is a low cost airline that provides flights through South East Asia and Asia at large. Get on their email list to be the first to know about their regular flight sales. You can find flights for as low as 10 USD, and  sometime even less. There are a few considerations to be aware of when flying at such a low cost —as their tagline goes “Now everybody can fly.” No kidding, as the terminals often feel as crowded as an Asian bus stop.

You also don’t get much for the cheap flight. You are guaranteed a seat, a seat belt, and oxygen for your flight, but you’ll have to pay for literally everything else – water, food, baggage (based on a tiered weight system), legroom, etc. However, most flights within South East asia are 2 to 3 hours at most so it is well worth it.

One really great thing about the airline is that they have so many flights to chose from, granting you the ability to choose when you want to leave or arrive and not waste time hanging around an airport well after you’ve checked out of your hotel.

And while you are at the Air Asia website check out Air Asia Go which has some great deals on hotels at some of the destinations that you may be flying to.

Happy traveling!
