Understanding Work Life Balance in Silicon Valley
March 27, 2014 • Speaking
On the 26th of March I spoke to the Silicon Valley and San Francisco chapters of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization in Menlo Park, California. It was a half day event exploring The Art of Balancing Life.
80 members and spouses turned up for this event. What makes a great event to me is the audience and how willing they are to get involved in the topic with thoughtful questions. This was one engaged crowd with lots of deep questions. The 3 hours for the workshop flew by in a morning that I truly enjoyed.
The speaker rating was 9.77 and here are some comments from the event that EO Silicon Valley shared with me. Photos from the event at the bottom.
Comments from participants:
– would love to experience his one day or even his forum retreat session.
– get him back for a full day or 2
– Thanks Silicone valley this was a great event and easy to get to location from SF.
– I would recommend that he speed up a bit in the beginning. The pace seemed a bit slow for EO. Otherwise it was fab!
– Wish we could have stayed the whole day for the entire course.
– Very good speaker. Unique background, unique perspective. Highly credible, very good communicator – I would’ve stayed for a full day session. I’d see him again if he were in town.
– Excellent event! A few of us talked to Dandapani after the event as we were interested in putting something together for our kids. He was saying that he does workshops for kids ages 8-18. I have a feeling there would be many of us in the chapter that would welcome the opportunity to introduce this sort of perspective to our children. Dandapani suggested we can check in with him and find out his schedule of when he is in the Bay Area and try and add on an event. Who can I talk to about this or should I just gather some of the members we were talking with and work independently on something like this? Great event!
– Good message from Dandapani.
– Simple, meaningful, and useful!
– Best EO event i have ever attended. Can honestlyl say it has changed my perspective in such a positive way that i will never be the same again. Thank you again for this most valuable event !
– Excellent…wish we could have done the whole day. Felt rushed and truncated.
– Any more Rockstar jackets for the Learning Chair?
– An eye opening and awareness broadening experience with an extremely charismatic speaker!
– Well done… Great speaker.
