First trees planted on the Spiritual Sanctuary
May 29, 2014 • Costa Rica Spiritual Sanctuary
We planted our first trees on our spiritual sanctuary in Costa Rica today. A big day and the beginning of a wonderful future. 30 coconut trees were planted today with the help of 2 hard working locals.
The Coco trees consisted of 15 dwarf varieties and 15 tall ones. It was a long hot, humid day of planning in the morning and planting in the afternoon. Tomorrow we plant 118 trees!! We are exhausted tonight but extremely eager to wake up at 5am for the huge planting day tomorrow. All in all about 150 trees will be planted on this trip – the 1st phase of the development of this sanctuary. One of the challenges is visioning 150 years from now ….seeing how some of these trees will look like and coming back to the present and figuring out where to put these giants! It is all part of our “long” term plan. 150 years and more. As my guru would say, look into the future of futures!

In early June, I headed down to Siva Ashram by myself for a quick, five-day visit for Phase 4.2 of our landscaping. It was amazing to see how the grounds had gone from being almost completely brown in April when we were there during the dry season to being lush green in just two months.…
