Enstasy: A Meditation Confluence in Kerala, India 2016
February 5, 2015 • Spiritual Adventures
I’ve spoken at and attended many inspiring events, where I am given so much great new information only to return home and have many of these ideas forgotten in a notebook. I realized the problem is that there’s no time provided at these events to reflect and integrate the teachings into my life before diving back into reality. So I decided to create a meditation conference where we do things a little differently.
Enstasy is what I’m calling this meditation conference, or confluence rather, because in Sanskrit confluence or sangam means “a gathering of souls, and a withdrawal and concentration of your energy on a single point of focus.” The goal of this confluence is to learn meditation. At the Enstasy Confluence you will learn a meditation technique based on ancient Hindu teachings, in particular the Saiva Siddhanta philosophy, that originated in India many thousands of years ago. This philosophy finds the perfect balance between your inner and outer worlds, and defines a clear path to experiencing your higher Self within.
I’ve structured this Confluence with this philosophy in mind. The first 4-days are focused on diving deep into the study and practice of meditation in the lush, tropical surroundings of the Kumarakom Lake Resort in Kerala, India. The gorgeous resort sits on the serene banks of the emerald backwaters of Lake Vembanad and boast a variety of different luxury room options, some with private pools and breathtaking views. Be the first to sign up and get to choose your favorite room at no additional cost.
The following 4-days are intended for reflection, relaxation and excursions to thoughtfully selected hideaways. Prior to the Confluence you will be given the opportunity to choose from 5 different retreats: Serenity (Luxury) – Elephant Therapy, Kovalam (Luxury) – Arabian Sea Escape, Alleppey – An Enchanting Village Retreat, Periyar – Spice, Tea & Jungle Retreat and Fort Kochi – A Voyage in Time. Each of these post-confluence retreats all have different activities unique to the area and wonderful hotels. But you need to act quickly because the post-Confluence retreat destinations are first come first serve, so be among the first few to apply and have your pick of exotic destinations!
