Adelaide’s progressive accounting company turns inward
August 24, 2015 • Speaking
Adelaide, South Australia. On August 24th this year I was invited to Adelaide by Altitude Advisory to conduct a full day workshop to its team and clients. Altitude Advisory is an accounting firm based in South Australia’s capital that provide consultation on profitability, cashflow, growth, asset protection, tax and accounting to entrepreneurs, businesses and a range of other clients.
Two of their directors had seen me speak at Panalitix‘s Proactive Accountants Network conference in Queenstown, New Zealand a couple of years ago and decided to invited to work with their team and clients. Over 80 people participated in this full day workshop that was held at a lovely venue at the Adelaide Zoo overlooking the city’s botanical gardens. Some of the participants flew in from over 90 minutes away from various parts of South Australia just to attend the day long learning event.
I’m always really inspired when companies reach out to me to have me speak with their team members and clients. Companies that care about the mental wellness of their employees says so much about the directors and their perspective of what is important within their company structure.
One of the topics I focused on at this workshop was on how to create budget for your energy the same way you create a budget for your money. Learning to manage your energy is a skill worth developing in your life. Life is a direction of your energy. The things that manifest in your life is where you are directing your energy towards. When you can learn to manage your energy you can begin to direct it to the people and things that matter most in your life and also away from those that you don’t want it to go to.
