Desert Flowers
The Rajasthani people are truly like desert flowers. Not only are they colorful and bright in their dress against a stark backdrop, their hospitality is as welcoming as the sight of a flower.
I shot this photo in the Great Thar Desert about 90-minutes west of Jaisalmer, the last town before this desert’s seemingly unending stretch to Pakistan. This lady was walking in the desert not too far from her home in search of something or someone.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this series of 31 days of photos from Rajasthan – my favorite place in India to photograph.
