Manifesting our Goals
We continue the recap of our recent Spiritual Adventure…
Day 9, Samode, Rajasthan. 7th February 2015.
We spent most of the day in class, diving deep into the practice of meditation and how to manifest what we want in our life.
One of the keys in manifesting our goals in life is concentration or unwavering focus. It’s an area most people struggle at. They struggle at concentration primarily, I believe, for two reasons. Firstly, no one has ever taught them how to concentrate. Secondly, if they don’t learn to concentrate how can they practice it, and if they don’t practice something how can they be good at it. I’ve always said that practice does not have the ability to discriminate between positive and negative patterns, and whatever it is we practice we become good at.
To manifest something in life we need to invest energy in it consistently. We do this by keeping our awareness on it for my guru once said “where awareness goes, energy flows”. When you keep your awareness on something for an extended period of time you are practicing concentration. If you allow your awareness to drift from one thing to another then you are being distracted.
The art and science of manifesting your goal is to have a clear systematic approach and an unwavering focus. Your life is a manifestation of where you direct your energy. Your ability to hold your awareness in unwavering focus on your goal simply means you are directing your energy in a concentrated way towards this. The resulting affect of a prolong practice of this is your goal manifesting before you.
But you must want it. You must truly want it. And the honest truth is most people don’t want it enough to manifest it in their life. They feel they really want it but most are not willing to do the work to manifest it. Simplify your life. Focus your energy and efforts, and your goal will inevitably manifest.

Day 7: Feb 5 “The Taj Mahal rises above the banks of the river like a solitary tear suspended on the cheek of time.” ―Rabindranath Tagore In my opinion, the only way to see the Taj Mahal for the first time (or even the 10th time) is to wake up at dawn and watch the…

I’ve spoken at and attended many inspiring events, where I am given so much great new information only to return home and have many of these ideas forgotten in a notebook. I realized the problem is that there’s no time provided at these events to reflect and integrate the teachings into my life b...

Day 6: Feb 4 We started our day with a sunrise Puja at the southern group of temples in Khajuraho dedicated to Lord Siva. I had the honor of performing the ritual of abhishekam, the bathing of the central deity with an offering of milk, yogurt, and flowers. The temple reverberated with the sac...
