The Pilgrimage to Your Higher Self

The Pilgrimage to Your Higher Self

More people are terrified of who they are inside than of the world around them. What they fear most within themselves is not the difficult, challenging parts, but rather the higher, more luminous ones.

It’s the beauty, the brilliance, the vast potential that lives within us. We are far more afraid of our greatness than of our flaws.

So we hold ourselves back. Rather than taking a step toward our higher Self, we take a step backward—outward, really—and indulge in the world, marinating in all that the conscious, external mind has to offer. Pleasure is fine, as long as you understand it is transient in nature. It never provides lasting fulfillment. It’s like a great meal—you enjoy it while eating it, perhaps for some hours after, but a week or a month later, that same meal no longer brings you the same satisfaction. To feel that way again, you must repeat the experience. That is the nature of the conscious mind, which I also refer to as the instinctive mind. That’s why people love to scroll—bite-sized meals enjoyed endlessly from the ever-giving bowl that is the screen of your phone.

When we are ready to live differently, we embark on a pilgrimage—one that begins within and, quite often, starts with a journey outward. I have been on many such pilgrimages over the decades. Each has changed my life in ways I could not have imagined.

India is my go-to place for this. My experiences there have been so profound that I’ve taken many others on such journeys as well. My Spiritual Adventures are highly bespoke spiritual pilgrimages—a time to step away from the routines and responsibilities of daily life, to turn awareness inward, and to open ourselves to deep spiritual insights and experiences. To gain clarity.

These journeys are designed to help seekers consciously step away from the conscious mind and begin to internalize their awareness—to enter the subconscious with care, understanding, empathy, and compassion. If you don’t, you won’t make it through this layer. And then, gently—and I emphasize gently—you enter the superconscious, wherein lies all of your greatness.

The superconscious is not transient. It is the essence of who you are—pure awareness, pure energy—that was never created and can never be destroyed. To touch into it is to realize that you have always existed. This can be deeply unsettling for the conscious mind, which only knows life and death, gain and loss, the transient and the temporary.

What you know becomes familiar, and what becomes familiar becomes safe. But not all things that are safe for you are good for you.

My next Spiritual Adventure begins on the 28th of February 2026. If you meet the requirements and feel ready to embark on a pilgrimage to your higher Self, I invite you to read through the Spiritual Adventure website and request an application form.

If you’d like to hear from past travelers, you can listen to their experiences here.

As I said in my email last week—front-end the work. I have never once regretted doing the work to experience my higher Self. It has only made my life infinitely better. But if you’re content with life as it is, this journey may not be for you. However, if you are ready to embrace a greater you—the superconscious you—there is no better time than now.

If you were sitting in economy, seat 67B, on a long transatlantic flight—wedged tightly between two passengers—and the steward offered you an upgrade to first class, would you decline? Of course not. You’d stand up, smile, and gladly take the upgrade.

So the question is, how long do you want to sit in the economy seat of your mind? Perhaps it’s time for an upgrade—to first class, to the superconscious state of mind. Let your awareness experience being there. It’s a far more pleasant place, I can assure you of that. No good karma points required for the upgrade—only your desire and your will to take the step.

You will be in the same seat until you choose differently. Take the upgrade. The journey to your higher Self begins with one conscious step inward. Join me on my next Spiritual Adventure.
