Three Hours to Live
When you shrink time you increase clarity of focus, so imagining you have three hours left to live shows you immediately who and what your real priorities are.
Dandapani explains the question he asks at his events, if you had three hours to live what would you do, and why it works. Almost everyone becomes crystal clear at once, and he asks you to take what surfaces and integrate it into your life now.
What this talk covers
- He asks audiences what they would do with three hours to live in order to bring clarity about who and what is important in their lives.
- When you shrink time you naturally increase clarity of focus, the same way squeezing an orange is what gets you the juice.
- Almost everyone in the room is crystal clear right at that moment; married people with families say they would collect their spouse and children and go home.
- On the way home they would not go shopping, would not stop at Starbucks, and would not pick up a call from someone they did not like.
- Take note of what surfaces and start integrating those priorities into your existing life as the areas you invest your time and energy into.

If you had three hours to live, what would you do? I asked this question a lot at my events. And the reason I asked this question is to help bring clarity to people's minds as to who and what's important
in their life. When you shrink time, you increase the clarity of focus naturally. How do you get orange juice?
You squeeze the orange. When you squeeze life and shrink the time, what do you get out of that? Priorities. When I tell my audience or say to my audience, hypothetically, that they only have three hours to live, what would they do?
Almost everyone in the audience is crystal clear what they would do right that moment. Most people were married and have families say they would go pick up their spouse, pick up their kids and go home and spend time with them. And on the way home they wouldn't go shopping, they wouldn't go to Starbucks to buy a coffee,
they wouldn't go pick up a phone and talk to someone they didn't like. It became crystal clear to them that if they only had three hours to live, who and what were their priorities and how they would spend that time. who they would interact, what they would do
in those final hours of their life. This little exercise brings the surface really, really quickly our priorities in our life. It helps us to identify who's important, what's important,
and if we take note of that, we can start to integrate those priorities into our existing life right now and make them our areas of focus
that we invest our time and energy into.
