It was my first ever visit to Washington DC and I loved my brief 24 hours in the country's capital. One of my hosts was gracious enough to spend the afternoon showing me around some of the memorials. My favorite and the one I had been wanting to see for a while was the Lincoln Memorial. One of my favorite Lincoln quote "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power."
After touring some of the memorials we visited the United States Botanical Garden - an indoor masterpiece of exotic plants from around the world. I was in heaven.
The next morning (Wednesday) I conducted a half-day workshop with the EO DC chapter of the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO). We had a great turnout with almost a hundred members and spouses. The workshop was titled "Unwavering Focus". In the first half of the workshop we dived into the study of the mind, how to learn and practice concentration, and develop willpower. The second half of the workshop was about the study of energy management. When we can effectively learn how to manage our energy we can better invest it in the people and things that truly matter to us. A special thanks to EO DC for a great morning.
