Honoring Effort

Honoring Effort

One of the speakers at the Proactive Accountants Network Annual conference here in New Zealand is Natalie Cook. Natalie is an Australian professional beach volleyball player, speaker and Olympic gold medallist. This afternoon we were at the gorgeous Hills Golf Course outside of Queenstown and took a moment to honor one another's efforts (persistence, perseverance, patience and will) in life. Nat placed her Olympic gold medal around me and I placed my rudraksha mala, the one that Gurudeva (my guru) gave me when he initiated me as a monk, around her. Something I've never done before. And we posed for a photo in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Natalie speaks on "Sustained Motivation" tomorrow, a topic that resonates well with what I spoke about sustaining change.
