It's a little over a month before our next spiritual adventure begins. We'll be heading to North India this time and attending the Kumbha Mela festival as part of it. It will be quite the trip considering that we'll be journeying across North India from Kolkata in the east all the way to Jodhpur in the west plus attending the largest human gathering on earth, the Kumbha Mela festival. With everything that we will be experiencing I've themed the trip a "spiritual and photographic adventure"!

We've had to change our itinerary numerous times to accommodate the crazy logistics of attending the Kumbha Mela. Our itinerary has been finalized now and it will take us after the Mela to Rajasthan. This is an update to what's on the website. Rajasthan is one of my favorite places in India. I love the people, the architecture, the culture and traditions that the people hold strongly to and for a photographer it is an endless opportunity of photos waiting to be taken.

Once we leave the Kumbha Mela, we fly to Udaipur and spend 3 nights in this lovely town. From here we head north by road to a little village called Chandelao, one of Rajasthan's little secrets. 1 night here before heading to Jodhpur for 2 nights then flying back to Delhi where our journey concludes.

Here are some photos taken from previous trips to Rajasthan.

    Insights on Peace

The recent tragedy at the elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, is needless to say at the very least heartbreaking. It made me reflect a lot on the source of peace and violence, and this brought me to recall a talk given my guru, Sivaya Subramuniyaswami about 12 years ago. T
