Meditating with Entrepreneurs
I spent last weekend at Skamania Lodge on the border of Oregon and Washington. The Portland chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) were having their inaugural chapter retreat and I was invited to present to them. Friday night was an informal gathering with the members where I briefly introduced myself and then the members got to ask me anything they way. It was very interactive and a great way for us to get to know one another.
Saturday morning we spent about 20 minutes or so in meditation. It was a gorgeous day, about 81F, and we were out on a very green lawn under blue skies. For some entrepreneurs it was their first encounter with meditation. Many of the members also brought their spouses as well.
I defined meditation to them as the harnessing, redirecting and concentration of energy within the body. And we did a short meditation that went through this process.
