Is Your Child Telling You About Their Past Life?
In the first four years of life a child is quite often telling you about experiences from their most recent incarnation, and if you listen closely you may learn a lot about the journey they have been on.
Dandapani explains the Hindu view that young children are often describing their most recent birth. He shares a mother's account of her son describing parachuting from a crashing plane despite never having flown, and offers an analogy for why a child would talk about it.

In the first four years of a child's life, quite often your child is telling you some of the experiences they've had in their most recent incarnation, their most recent birth. Have you ever had the experience where your child has said something to you that is so unusual, that has nothing to do with their current life? I had a mother recently share with me how her son told her that he was jumping out of a plane in a parachute as it was about to crash. And her son has never been on a plane before, and she often wondered where he came up with that story.
And after learning more about reincarnation, she realized that perhaps he was a fighter pilot in a war and had to eject out of a plane in a parachute. In Hinduism, we believe in reincarnation, that souls go through multiple incarnations one life after another. Imagine if you went on a vacation for six weeks or two months. When you came back from that amazing holiday, what would you be telling your friends and family?
Naturally, all about the vacation. Imagine if you were on an 80 or 90 year journey and you died and you were reincarnated, what would you be telling your new parents and your new friends about the journey, the 80 or 90 year journey, your previous birth that you were on? So in Hinduism, we believe that in the early years of a child, they're trying to tell you
about their part's life, and if you listen closely, you may learn a lot about your child and the journey that they've been on.
