Exploring the Backwaters of Kerala

We wrap up the coverage of our meditation and yoga retreat in South India earlier this month. The state of Kerala in India is renowned for its spagetthi of rivers, canals and lagoons, and is the emerald jewel of the south. One of the highlights of things to do is hire a small boat with a boatman and get him to take you along the backwaters. We spent 2 hours cruising along the canals watching locals perform their daily routines. Definitely one of the highlights of Kerala for sure and something you should do if you ever there.
