Delhi and the journey to Amritsar
October 25, 2011 • Spiritual Adventures
Today we began our excursions. We visited the spectacular Akshardham which was built by the Swami Narayan group to honor their founder Swami Narayan. Unfortunately no cameras are permitted on the premises so we are unable to share photos with you. To see images of this place visit Akshardham.com.
We also visited Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque. After lunch we headed to the airport to board our flight to Amritsar, holy city for the Sikhs and home of the Golden Temple. We’ll be here for tomorrow grand celebrations of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, and no where else does it better than at the Golden Temple.
Here are some images from today’s activities.
