How To Work With Guilt
July 19, 2017 • Conversations on the Spiritual Path, Learn

One of the things to cultivate on the spiritual path is self-acceptance. Right this moment, you are the sum total of many, many incarnations. It took hundreds of years, maybe even thousands of years, to bring you to this very moment so you have to be forgiving of yourself for your negative personality traits. You have to be compassionate with yourself and you have to have empathy. You are work in progress. You know there are issues to work on and it’s going to take time. Some things can be resolved right away. Some things might take a year, 10 years, 20 years. As long as you’re working on it, that’s the most important thing. Don’t give up. Every effort you put in with yourself to strive to better yourself is not in vain.
