The Superconscious Mind
The Superconscious Mind

If you were to look at the mind in a simplified way you can say that there are three states of mind.

The conscious, the subconscious and the superconscious mind.

What is the superconscious mind?

My guru defines it as the “The mind of light, the all-knowing intelligence of the soul.” In Sanskrit, it is called ‘Karana Chitta’. My guru goes on to say “In Sanskrit, there are numerous terms for the various levels and states of superconsciousness.” The important point to note here is that there are various levels and states of superconsciousness.

For years, I’ve restricted myself to speaking only about awareness and the mind. And not really going beyond this. Even this has been a challenge for me to have people understand. Evidently, I have a lot of work to do in order to become better at explaining this concept to people and stating the importance of it.

The experience of the superconscious mind is one of the most beautiful experiences to have in this life. It is not the ultimate experience to be seeking. As my guru says, there are many levels and states of superconsciousness. Many can touch the fringes of this state but to go deeper within this state and stay there to truly experience it, you need great levels of concentration

The experience of touching the outer fringes of this state is more than often startling to the individual causing awareness to be drawn out into the conscious mind again. Alas, the moment is gone and to experience it again is not so easy to the untrained yogi. I knew this only too well in my early years of training.

If you can concentrate really well, you can hold awareness so poised and steadily as you navigate it within the superconscious. Inner experiences arise, but your ability to concentrate is what holds you in the superconscious and prevents you from getting startled and drawn out to the conscious mind.

Needless to say, I’m going to harp again like a swaying bamboo creaking in the wind all day, about the importance of learning about awareness and the mind. Truly understands this. Learn to focus. Become good at this. This is the first, and most essential step.

Invest in doing my Unwavering Focus course. I’ve put decades of my learnings into it. I’ve outlined so clearly the steps in there on how to develop the power of concentration – the essential skill for profound inner experiences.

It’s here where you must begin in your journey to the superconscious mind.

Do the groundwork. Do the hard basic foundational work that most don’t want to do. There is no quick sustainable way to the superconscious beside this.

The question will always remain, “Will you do it?”

Time will tell.
