Continuing from yesterday…after the storm ended the skies cleared up and revealed the mighty Himalayas to us. It was a sight for sore legs and weary trekkers. The mountains were simply gorgeous and spectacular in the evening light. We still had about an hour and a half left to trek but with such views our spirits were uplifted and inspired as we made our way to the camp grounds. The view of Fishtail (Mount Machhapuchchhre – 6,993 m/22,943 ft) as the setting sun lit its peak was very special.

We finally reached the camp grounds right at dusk. Our sherpas and porters had already set up every thing and it was great to finally sit down, have a nice meal and rest for the night.
