Exploring Balance Living in Portland, Oregon

Last weekend (May 3-4) I had the wonderful pleasure of spending it with members of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) in Portland, Oregon. The event was the inaugural chapter retreat for EO Portland. The focus of study was “The Art of Balancing Life”. The event was geared towards members and their spouses which was great as I am a big supporter of this. I always tell members of this organization that they should include their spouses in as many personal development learning events as possible. It is very important both individuals in the relationship develop themselves together so that no one is left behind in their growth. If one person develops rapidly and the other does not then this creates a gap that can be problematic in a relationship.

It was so great to see that many members brought their spouses with them and we enjoyed two lovely days of learning and interacting with one another.

“The score for the “speaker” was 9.77. That is the highest I’ve seen in Portland, congrats!!” – EO Portland Learning Chair

Here are photos and a video (by EO Portland) from that lovely weekend.

On the first evening (Friday) I had an informal interview style session with the members only then another informal interview with the spouses. It was a well designed time for everyone to get to know me.
The photo shows the full day workshop on Saturday.

Part of the study was focused on how to resolve unresolved emotional experiences from the past that are hindering our growth.

Everyone joined in this exercise to work on clearing one experience from the past that was still emotionally troublesome.

We also dived into the topic of gratitude and appreciation. Couples went off on their own to express their gratitude and appreciation to one another. In expressing this they were encouraged to be specific.

Couples enjoyed learning more tools to help them along on their journey.

Thank you Trevor for sharing all these photos. All credit goes to him.

We pose for a group photo at the end of a wonderful day of learning.
