CompaNanny trains Nannies to Raise Children a Positive Way
May 19, 2014 • Speaking
On the weekend of May 17th outside of Amsterdam, Netherlands, I conducted a corporate retreat for a wonderful Dutch company called CompaNanny. CompaNanny provides high-quality childcare throughout Amsterdam, and it is one of the nation’s largest nannying agencies. It’s well known for carefully screening and selecting employees that are not only “doers, but also thinkers” who will nurture and train children physically, intellectually and emotionally. I was impressed CompaNanny dedicated resources for its employees to focus on daily self-improvement. Care takers must be equipped with tools for developing a rich inner life in order to teach the children they care for to do the same.
The event took place about 90 minutes outside of Amsterdam by a beach side venue and I can honestly say it was one of the most rewarding speaking engagements I’ve experienced to date. Over 100 employees attended the retreat. We explored understanding how the mind works, developing willpower and concentration. Also, how energy works, how to manage energy in everyday life and being aware of who and what consumes energy. These are all particularly important topics for caretakers as they are bombarded with demands all day, every day.
What I enjoyed so greatly about this workshop was that I got to connect with and support a team of hardworking people who dedicate their lives to nurturing the next generation.
Sending gratitude to CompaNanny for taking care of me during the weekend.
