Awareness, Energy & Mental Patterns

Awareness, Energy & Mental Patterns

If your awareness is constantly going to one particular area of the mind, then that is where your energy is flowing, and that area of the mind will become stronger and stronger. It is almost like you are feeding the muscles of that area of the mind. For example, if your awareness keeps going to an angry area of the mind, then that is where your energy is flowing all the time. This means that the angry area of your mind is becoming stronger and stronger because you are constantly sending energy to it. The stronger it becomes, the more magnetic it becomes. What does this mean? It means that it will be very easy for your awareness to get pulled there. Have you ever met someone who is always angry or that can get angry very easily? It does not take much to move his awareness there because that area of his mind is so strong and so magnetic that awareness gets pulled there so easily.

    Too busy or misguided priorities?

At an event in Portland, Oregon, I was asked, "What if we don't have time to spend in reflection in the morning?" At the end of the day, it comes down to priorities. What’s important in your life? Everybody has time. I’m sure they have time to update their status or to talk wit

These days listening is a rare trait. It is rare because most people have great difficulty in concentrating. Another area in life where concentration plays a big part to me is in building relationships with people. One of the ways to build relationships with people is the ability
