The NEW Furniture in Your Mind

As you clear old patterns from your subconscious you create space—so consciously fill that vacuum with positive habits and uplifting influences.

A figure arranges a bright new chair beside a sunlit window in a fresh, airy room full of warm light.

In the old furniture in your mind I talked about the old furniture in the living room and how if we wanted new furniture then we must begin by removing the old furniture. The living room was the subconscious and the old furniture were the unresolved emotional experiences, the fears and self-doubt, erroneous beliefs and more.

Once we start removing the old furniture we create space. If I took my 3-seater sofa out of my living room I would create space equivalent to the size of that sofa. The interesting thing about space is that it likes to get filled with stuff. Be it cobwebs, dust, tchotchkes, car keys…you name it.

It is critical that you wisely fill that vacuum because if you don’t then like the living room, it will be filled with things that you may not want.

The subconscious is no different. You work to rid yourself of an unresolved emotional experience in the subconscious you create space in there.

In your pursuit of being a better version of yourself and as you work to rid your subconscious of old furniture simultaneously work on bringing in new furniture. Before even embarking on getting rid of old furniture, determine clearly for yourself what is the new furniture you will be filling the void with. The removal and filling should happen simultaneously.

What is the new furniture we are talking about? These are the positive ways of living, positive habit patterns, uplifting environments and people that we choose to surround ourselves with. All these fill and impress the subconscious in ways that uplift our awareness into higher states of mind.
