Day 29 of our month long series of photos on Rajasthan, India. This photo was taken in Khejarla, Rajasthan, one morning during a walk in the village. Most Rajasthani women will not smile for the camera. I even had one Rajasthani woman ask me to delete the photo of her smiling and to keep the one of her with a serious look on her face. It appeared to me that it almost seemed inappropriate to them to be photographed smiling.
