Portrait of a Sadhu

Portrait of a Sadhu
portrait of a indian sadhu monk

A few years ago, I came across this man in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Dressed as a sadhu he was sitting on the side of a shady street in the pink city. I could not help but stop and ask if I could photograph him. He agreed in exchange for a few rupees. I felt it was fair so I took a portrait shot of him in all his colors. This makes the photo for day 26 of our month long series of photos on Rajasthan.

For those of you who are photo enthusiasts there will be no shortage of photographic opportunities on our next meditation retreat to northwestern India. It might as well be a photography tour in India as you will find a perfect shot waiting around every corner in Rajasthan.
