Pushkar's Holy Lake

Pushkar's Holy Lake
Pushkar lake and town in Rajasthan

Pushkar, is one of my personal favorite towns in India. It's free from the usual kerfuffle of traffic and noise. Built around a holy lake, Pushkar is a place of pilgrimage for many Hindus and a safe haven for travelers wanting some quiet time. It's also famed for having the only temple dedicated to the Hindu god Brahma. This photo was taken at sunset. Pushkar, Rajasthan.

Our 16-day meditation retreat to northwestern India begins on the 24th of October and will explore much of Rajasthan.

    Age Prowls like a Leopard

In the ancient Hindu scriptures there is a verse that goes "The physical body does not last forever. Age prowls like a leopard. Before the limbs lose their vitality, one should take to the auspicious path to the Self." This photo is a good reminder that age indeed does prowl li

    A Photographic Showcase of Rajasthan

“Big Boys Don’t Cry” Chili Paste

I returned last night to New York after spending 10 days in Perth, West Australia. The journey back is a tough one with a flight distance of about 20,047kms and 24 hours of actual air time not including the one transit stop. So, I decided to do something different today and bl

    Yogaswami, Jaffna's Mystical Master

I first heard of Yogaswami from my family. He was the guru for many of my family members and many were the stories of their encounters with this white haired and long bearded master. In fact some members of my family were even named by him. They all spoke lovingly of him, reverin
