Be Specific

It is that time of the year when most people are absorbed in talking about and creating new year resolutions. January 1st brings with it a wave of hope to people allowing them to believe that they can create and manifest the changes they want in their life in the new year. People busy themselves with writing out goals and resolutions.

I’d like to comment on goal writing. In writing out your goals be specific. To create a goal such as “I want to eat healthy in 2018” is too vague. You need to be more specific. Imagine this. If you walked into a clothing store and said to the sales person “ I want to buy clothes” will that be helpful? No. It is not helpful at all. You need to be very specific. It is better to say “I am looking for a pair of business pants”. Now they can show you the way to the location in the store where the business pants are kept. Saying you want to eat healthy in 2018 is not enough. What does this even mean? Write it down in detail and be specific.
