The Key to Self-Mastery
April 17, 2016 • Awareness & the Mind, Learn
As events occur in life, most people react to them in an uncontrolled way. When this happens awareness gets drawn out and externalized. Their energies get externalized too entangling itself with people and things around them. Before long they find themselves bound to the external world and inner life seems non-existent. They live in a perpetual state of reaction going from one experience to another with very little control over their lives. Most people aren’t even aware of this. It becomes, unfortunately, a very natural flow to them even though every thing about it is unnatural to the soul.
To slow down, live in the moment, be mindful or any of these many concepts that the wellness and new age communities throw around, most without proper understanding or instruction on how to do it, one must first gain a solid and clear understanding of awareness and the mind. This is the key to your freedom. This is the key to self-mastery.
